If anyone cares to see pain and anguish right now, don’t hesitate to look at my face. It’s a face that’s a direct result of not knowing that Prince performed in New York City on Friday night (Feb. 13).
The legend graced a crowd with his presence during a surprise performance at a private NBA All-Star Weekend event held by Jordan Brand in celebration of their 30th anniversary. Prince commemorated the joyous occasion with a set of classics that included “1999,” “When Doves Cry,” “Let’s Go Crazy,” and “Purple Rain.”
Stars like Michael Jordan himself, Jay Z, Beyoncé, Chris Rock, Queen Latifah, Carmelo Anthony, and Questlove were in attendance.
