J. Cole Remixes A Tribe Called Quest’s “Can I Kick It?” [LISTEN]
Who better than J. Cole to be handed the keys to a classic track from A Tribe Called Quest? The North Carolina MC, who is also a damn good producer, has remixed the legendary group’s hit “Can I Kick It?”
The track appears on the forthcoming 20th anniversary version of ATCQ’s debut album, People’s Instinctive Travels And The Paths of Rhythm, which is out Nov. 13.
Cole’s version of “Can I Kick It?” is a gloomier ride but still possesses plenty of bop. Listen below.
