Nas and his HSTRY clothing line have joined with the Ghostbusters franchise for a fashion collaboration that gives several knowing winks to popular series. Some of the pieces featured in the collaboration highlight key phrases and images from the films, with a video explaining how the original movies in the 1980s influenced him.
As reported by HypeBeast in an exclusive preview, Nas and the minds behind the upcoming Ghostbusters film were on a Sony Pictures set in Culver City, Calif. The Queens veteran ran down what he thought of the earlier films, and shared a tale of how his mother took him and his brother to see the movie in 1984. Nas also speaks of his respect for original actors Dan Akroyd and Bill Murray and cited that he was fans of their Saturday Night Live work.
The video also highlights Nas’ ambitions as a businessman. With his hands already involved in a variety of ventures, the rapper born Nasir Jones has hopes to become a mogul on the level of Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs and other Hip-Hop entrepreneurs.
