Former NBA star Robert Horry has put his Texas mansion on the market for $2.2 million. The seven-time NBA champ’s former home sits on 2.4 acres of land, and features exquisite landscaping, complete with palm trees, a gazebo and a resort-style pool.
Horry purchased the home back in 2007, the same year that he earned a seventh NBA championship.
The 8,440 square foot mansion has five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Other amenities include a gym, study, a tennis court, and outdoor barbecue.
Since retiring, the native has remained mostly out of the spotlight and suffered the loss of his 17-year-old daughter in 2011. Ashlyn Horry died at a Houston hospital succumbing to a rare genetic condition, which she had her entire life. The condition resulted in severe respirator issues, and occurs when a child is missing part of a chromosome. “My little girl was the light of my life and my family,” Horry said. “It’s been tough, but we are blessed to have her for the time we did.”
Ending his career in 2008, Horry played for the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, and Los Angeles Lakers before closing out his years in the league with the San Antonio Spurs.
