Here’s another thing Kanye West’s mysterious DONDA initiative can add to it resume. The collective is responsible for designing the album cover artwork for Lil Wayne’s forthcoming I Am Not A Human Being II album.
The artwork features a black and red moth incorporated into and at the center of an all black background. DONDA also is responsible for the artwork for Weezy’s current single, the Mike Will Made It produced “Love Me” (aka “Good K*sh & Alcohol”) featuring Drake and Future. The art for said single features more moth, or butterflies, whatever you prefer.
What is DONDA? It depends on who you ask. We do knows it’s as ambitious as its founder’s. While today it was artwork, the creative team was also at the helm of Yeezy’s infamous Cruel Summer film, an “immersive 7 screen experience,” that screened at Cannes last summer.
As for Wayne, over this Super Bowl weekend the YMCMB rapper will be participating in the I.M.P.A.C.T Weekend Charity Experience, which works to raise money for the homeless and less fortunate, in New Orleans.
I Am Not A Human Being II will be in stores March 26th. Check out the album’s artwork on the next page.
