Fans of Raekwon are in for a treat, as producer and frequent collaborator Scram Jones created a compilation mixtape of his and the legendary MC’s work titled The Chef vs. The Beast. With that, we receive an appetizer via this unreleased track titled “Restaurant.”
As always, the Wu-Tang Clan MC is at his very best when painting vivid tales of a gritty street encounters, often involving kilos of that Columbian bam-bam. The situation amplifies here, as Raekwon discovers a snake in the grass within his circle and reacts to the situation accordingly.
The Chef vs. The Beast will don 22 songs, many of which you’ll recognize. Among its numerous guest appearances are Wu-Tang members Inspectah Deck and Masta Killa, Mobb Deep, Jadakiss, Styles, CL Smooth, Sauce Money, Bun B, Busta Rhymes, and more. If all goes to plan, the Internets will receive the project some time today.
