Logic – “Roll Call” [LISTEN]

Fairly unknown XXL Freshman Logic has a lot to prove, given his recent signing to Def Jam records. The Maryland lyricist gives a sampling of his talents on a freestyle titled “Roll Call.” Borrowing Outkast’s flow on their classic “Ms. Jackson,” the wordsmith paints vivid pictures that recollect his impoverished childhood and his experiences living in the hood as an interracial kid.

There’s no word on if “Roll Call” will appear on Logic’s forthcoming mixtape Young Sinatra: Welcome To Forever, releasing May 7. Hear the freestyle below.
