Struggle actress Amanda Bynes has become a media sensation for all the wrong reasons. The former Nickelodeon teen star has endured some tough times over the last year including a series of arrests, like her most recent run-in with NYPD last week for kush possession.

Each trip to the headlines has been crazier than the last. A popular fixture on Twitter, Bynes has used social media to keep her fading career somewhat relevant, but with mixed results. Insulting alleged ex-boyfriends and moguls, as well as an obsession with Drake, Bynes is a classic thirst bucket vying for whatever attention she can muster.

Hip-Hop Wired takes a look back at a handful of struggle moments involving Amanda Bynes.

Back On March 7, 2012, Bynes was stopped in Los Angeles for talking on a cell phone. It was alleged she fled the scene before the officer finished writing her ticket. She didn’t get arrested, and reportedly returned to the station to sign the ticket.

In April 2012, Bynes was arrested in West Hollywood for a DUI. It was alleged she sideswiped the police vehicle with her BMW in attempting to pass by the car. She was released on $5,000 bail.

In June 2012, the hits keep coming for Bynes as she was officially charged for the DUI back in April of that year. Bynes took this moment to tweet President Barack Obama and asked him to fire the officer that arrested her. She eventually pleads not guilty, and faced six months in jail.

In August of 2012, Bynes rear-ends a car in Los Angeles and drove off after allegedly saying the driver she hit didn’t report damage. However, the driver says Bynes caused $800 in damages.

September of 2012 tied all of Bynes car struggles into a neat bow. She was charged with hit-and-run in both the April and August crashes, the California DMV suspends her driver’s license, and her BMW was impounded after she was pulled over driving the car with the suspended license.

With her acting career slowing a bit, Bynes signed a fashion line called Dear, with discount clothing retailer, Steve & Barry in 2007. The retail chain filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2008.

With the role offers drying up, Bynes announced her retirement from acting twice so far. She took to Twitter in 2010 to take “time off.” She restated her retirement in 2012 via Twitter, saying she wants to focus again on fashion design.

Bynes took a shot at Jay-Z’s looks last February, calling the Roc Nation kingpin “ugly face” and boldly sending the message to his Twitter account. Apparently, this is a thing she does. Read on.

Bynes famously tweeted, “I want Drake to murder my v-gina” back in March of this year. She later called the Canadian star “ugly” in a tweet after a lack of response.

Bynes goes to the well once more with the word “ugly,” this time throwing the slander towards her supposed ex-boyfriend Kid Cudi.

After getting arrested last week for kush possession and other charges on May 23, Bynes is threatening to sue both the NYPD for allegedly s-xually assaulting her. A source told ABC News that she claimed word of the assault before the cops entered her Manhattan apartment.

Bynes gets into a Twitter beef with Rihanna, but it looks like it backfired on her after the Bajan star replied with that good ether.
