Hip-Hop and fashion go hand in hand, especially in 2013. Like much of the new millennium, we’ve seen a number of MCs dabble in apparel and accessories. But rather than create brands of their own, many decided to partner with established clothing companies.

The result was a few quality collaborations featuring pieces that would be a worthy edition to any man’s closet — sorry ladies, this one isn’t for you.

Expect to see Diamond Supply Co., Stussy, New Era, and more on this list of the 10 best rapper/fashion collaborations we’ve seen so far this year. Find that on the following page. Also feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Diamond Supply Co. x #Been #Trill

Kanye West’s right hand Virgil Abloh handles the latter brand, which connected with Nick Diamond’s California based provider of skate wear to create the perfect mash up of the two aesthetics.

A Bathing Ape x Snoop Lion

The west coast OG connected with one of the most revered Japanese streetwear brands to very dope results.

Stussy x Flatbush Zombies

The Brooklyn rhymers had kids wrapped around the brand’s NYC location just to get their hands on a piece of the collection. That’s ill.

The Hundreds, Crooks & Castles, US Alteration, & Diamond Supply x Peas & Carrots

Anwar Carrots, Joshton Peas, and Casey Veggies went all out for the grand opening collection of their flagship location. Mind you, the average age of this trio is 21.

Alife x Jadakiss

This is Kiss raw and uncut on a t-shirt. What more can you ask for?

Mark McNairy x Pharrell (BBC)

Much of this clothing is out of the box (not unlike the its two creators), but you can find a few worthy grabs in the bunch.

New Era x Drake

Drizzy took his native baseball team’s fitted cap and added some OVO flair to it. The blue colorway is pretty standard, but the black one is clean. Unfortunately, the hat’s $75 price tag is not.

adidas x Run DMC

This drop is as clean and classic as both involved parties. Also, this relationship dates back to the 80s.

A.P.C. x Kanye West

Say what you want about the pricing, but Yeezy and Jean Touitou provided some neutral pieces (made from quality materials to boot) that would be a fitting addition to anyone’s closet.

Nike x Kanye West

The highly lauded Nike Air Yeezy 2 is already one of the most sought after shoes of all time. Then the G.O.O.D. Music founder had to flaunt these at the 2013 Governor’s Ball concert. Too bad they’ve yet to release.
