Mike Will Made It has ascended the ranks to become one of Hip-Hop’s top producers over a short period of time. Billboard magazine acknowledged the 24-year-old by featuring him on the cover of the August 17 issue.
The Atlanta native kept it very candid with David Peisner, the author of the featured story, while recalling his career journey. “I might end up going home at four or five in the morning. There were no days off. I wasn’t out here playing,” said Mike Mill on the grind it took to gain notice.
Hard work eventually paid off and ushered in the era of a sophisticated trap sound spearheaded by the ATLien. His production credits boasts Future’s “Turn On the Lights,” Drake’s “No Lie,” Jay-Z’s “Beach Is Better,” Rihanna’s “Pour It Up,” Lil Wayne’s “Love Me,” and most recently, Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop.”
As you can see, Mike Will is pretty much flourishing.
With age on his side, the still-rising beat craftsman ensures that he’ll climb to even higher plateaus. Read the entire Billboard feature here. See the front page below after the jump.
