The loss of legendary Soul Train host Don Cornelius in February 2012 saddened fans of the popular dance program worldwide. However, the memory of the widely-syndicated program lives on with a bevy of live performances, breakout appearances and the famed “Soul Train Line.”

It’s tough to pick the best moments of the Soul Train Line, as that segment was the clear highlight for many. HipHopWired pored over some of the top moments of the Line, compiling a list of 10 of our favorites.

Rosie Perez, who is still very much tough, got her boogie on with much attitude in this clip.

Before he became known as Fred “Rerun” Stubbs on the popular 70s sitcom What’s Happening!!, Berry was a noted street dancer and poplocker. Peep him out at 1:07 on this clip.

At the 00:50 mark, the brother in this clip goes completely for self over The Sylver’s “Hotline” joint.

The dancer at the 00:57 mark shined heavy. But peep the twin break dancers towards the end.

Singer Jody Watley got her start as a dancer on Soul Train, showcasing some of the freshest moves we’ve ever seen. But peep the 1:45 mark of this clip for something really crazy.

While many of the ladies who danced down the line were beautiful, this young lady puts on for the show in a major way. Peep the 00:37 mark.

Every week, folks would ask “who’s that Asian lady with the hair?” Now you know. Peep the 1:47 mark.

We know Soul Train represented dancers of all races, but this guy here went for White Guy broke at the 1:50 mark.
