We knew Big Pun‘s family may have been hard up for cash, but this is ridiculous. A woman named Gail Simpson, 63, who has robbed multiple banks, is reportedly the late Bronx rapper’s mother.

According to a tip, Gail Simpson is the alias of deceased rapper Big Pun’s mother Gail Tirado. (A few people search sites verifies this). She was also “allegedly” distraught over the family’s fruitless efforts to recover royalties and revenues owed to the estate of Big Pun when the robbery occurred . Allegedly those monies were stolen by rapper Fat Joe and legendary producer John “Jellybean” Benitez.
In a lawsuit that was filed back in 2009, Big Pun’s wife claims that his family had been forced to live in a homeless shelter after exhausting all of their finances from efforts to try to stop Fat Joe and other unnamed parties from profiting off the deceased rappers’ music and likeness.
Simpsons was recently arrested for robbing a Wells Fargo Bank Branch in Miami. Simpson is on probation, for an attempted arm robbery charge last year.
