John Boyega Responds To Racist Criticism Of His Black Star Wars Character - Page 2

Given the current racial divide this country is now facing, it is hardly surprising that new Star Wars actor John Boyega is getting racist blowback for portraying a Black Stormtrooper in the upcoming film, The Force Awakens.
In all began when the Episode VII trailer went viral and Boyega’s character was shown in a Stormtrooper uniform without his mask. Seeing that the franchise’s prequels came after the initial set of 1970s movies, it can understood where the confusion stems from regarding who exactly is a clone and what not.
Diehard fans and/or casual racists took extreme issue with Boyega being a Black Stormtrooper opposed to being a clone of Jango Fett, the bounty hunter whose body was replicated to build an army in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.
