When Scarface talks, people listen. Things were no different during his most recent visit to The Breakfast Club

As one of Hip-Hop’s most respected figures, Brad’s entire story is finally being told. With the release of his autobiography Diary Of A Madman he opens up on a variety of topics.

DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God got the Houston rapper to discuss his youth, The Geto Boys and some very dark moments of his life.

1. Tricks On Me

The Geto Boys’ most known tune was originally a Scarface solo record. James Prince heard the rough version and got Bill and Willie D. to jump on it. The rest is history.

2. Teeth

Scarface is now wearing braces. When asked why he said “I want to stop being ugly.”

3. Medical Issue

Scarface suffers from different medical issues including high blood pressure. To prevent becoming another statistic, he started watching what he eats and an exercise routine. As he put it “I started running for my life.”

4. Dream Albums

In the past he has tried to do joint albums with Nas and Beanie Sigel. Now he is talking with Ice Cube to do something together. [Note: Yes, we know that’s not Ice Cube in the photo. Duh.]

5. Death

Scarface has had battles of depression throughout his life and admitted that he wanted to die when he was younger. When asked why, he wanted attention.

6. Smoking

Face has weened off marijuana but smoked some in honor of 4/20 and it served as a reminder that the munchies will lead back to gaining weight.

7. DMX

Scarface confirmed a story that he and DMX had a very deep conversation that led to both MC’s getting emotional. Scarface went even further and admitted that X was standing in a very delicate part of the hotel balcony that could have taken his life.

8. Def Jam South

Face also admitted while he was running Def Jam South, LA Reid was given reign at Def Jam Records. If he would have stayed he thinks he would have been offered an executive position, but he decided to leave the entire operation.

9. Almost Famous

When asked what is the formula for rappers to age gracefully he stated that he did just enough to not over saturate his name. He prefers to be almost famous which is a more comfortable zone for him.

10. Retirement

Scarface doesn’t think anyone can retire from Rap music. You just have to hope that you can maintain a similar lifestyle in your later years to the one you created in your 20’s.
