Yasiin Bey may be a comedian but Mos Def the rapper is still claiming he exists and is very deadly on the mic.
In a new YouTube video uploaded by user rrvid718, Mos Def issued a challenge to anyone willing to accept his terms–and his team.
“Me, Black Thought and King Los versus ANYBODY,” the 41-year-old Hip-Hop mainstay screamed. “I don’t care who you tell…Red Bull Music Academy, put up [$1 million dollars on the contest] and we’ll give our winnings to charity and take your money too. I’m tired of these dudes pretending like they dope. You alright but relax. The dope ni**as that think they dope, you ain’t as dope as you think.”
Mos Def recently made his standup comedy debut in Canadian where he dismissed the Drake and Meek Mill beef to the notion of the “male ego.” He and The Roots’ vocalist covered The Source magazine in the late 90s to signify an era when lesser conformist Hip-Hop actually sold records for capital gain. The younger Baltimore native, King Los, recently dropped his well-received studio debut album, God, Money, War and is known to be extremely lethal with the wordplay in a generation where it doesn’t actually pay off.
Mighty Mos continued his unprovoked rant/challenge, “I’m dead ass serious. I know ni**as be thinking I’m crazy but whatever. I’m not playing.”
Much to the people’s delight, Mos has already gotten a worthy challenger from none other than Lupe Fiasco.
