Renowned director Ryan Coogler and actor Chadwick Boseman have been tasked with bringing Marvel’s Black Panther to the big screen. Already considered a must-see film, a teaser poster for the film was revealed today that only ramps up the anticipation.
The poster finds Boseman aka T’Challa in full Black Panther garb minus the helmet, sitting regally on a throne. Black Panther will feature a who’s who of beloved Black actors including Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett andForest Whitaker,
In other words, it’s lit.
As for the plot synopsis:
Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
The Twitter massive has been sharing its enthusiasm ever since the poster reveal. The only criticism here is that the movie doesn’t hit theaters until February 16, 2018. The world premiere of the teaser trailer goes down tonight during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
