Even though his focus is now television, Irv Gotti is still very passionate about music. The executive recently called Drake the Eminem of this generation.

On an upcoming episode of Drink Champs, Irv proclaimed his respect for Drake’s talent and detailed when the Toronto native will truly see his full potential. “If Drake was in my era, Drake would be selling 15 million to 20 million a clip, do you realize this?” he explained. “So right now, he sells three, four. If he was in my era, he’d be selling 15 to 20. Once he does something outside the music genre, he’s going to see how colossal he is.”

The Murder Inc. executive further waved the Champagne Papi flag with a comparison of epic Rap proportions. “Drizzy for sure is a genius. He’s, dare I say, the Eminem of our generation.” While there might be some truth to that statement we will take this all with a grain of salt. Judging by Irv’s slurred speech at the time of this interview it is safe to say Noreaga and DJ EFN probably got Irv completely washed off Ciroc Vodka thus the reach.

In October Gotti caught some heat when he said Eminem bodied Jay Z on “Renegade” on the same podcast appearance. He took to Instagram to clarify his statements saying “In my opinion. Again. In my opinion. Eminem was iller on RENEGADE. Now. In no way shape or form does that mean I do not LOVE my brother Jay Z.”

I did my guy @therealnoreaga Drink Champs. And it is coming on @revolttv this Thursday at 10pm. They have been running the promo of me saying Eminem bodied Jay on Renegade. I was drunk and high. And I am in no way saying that I didn’t say that. I did. In my opinion. Again. In my opinion. Eminem was iller on RENEGADE. Now. In no way shape or form does that mean I do not LOVE my brother Jay Z. OR. That I don’t feel Jay Z is by far the Best Rapper Alive. When you look at my brothers Body of Work. I think he has nobody even close to him. No Rapper can go Hit for Hit with him. No One. This is also. MY OPINION. So I just wanted to clarify. Cause I was a lil boisterous and over the top. Cause I was smoking weed. And drunk. And I’m an asshole. Lol. So I don’t want people thinking just cause I thought Eminem had better verses on Renegade. That I don’t love Hov. Stop it. It’s just a verse. It’s just a song. Not a whole body of work. And it’s just my opinion. Hov is easily Top Dog. Easily. Again. Look at his body of work. He is still one of the hottest rappers RIGHT NOW. LOL. And please check out the whole entire Interview. Cause if you watch the whole interview. I make it pretty obvious how I feel about my brothers. Jay Z. DMX. And of course Ja Rule. All mean something to me. I came up with those guys. I would not be who I am without those guys. They are and forever will by my MURDER INC. #brothers
