Even though his focus is now television, Irv Gotti is still very passionate about music. The executive recently called Drake the Eminem of this generation.

On an upcoming episode of Drink Champs, Irv proclaimed his respect for Drake’s talent and detailed when the Toronto native will truly see his full potential. “If Drake was in my era, Drake would be selling 15 million to 20 million a clip, do you realize this?” he explained. “So right now, he sells three, four. If he was in my era, he’d be selling 15 to 20. Once he does something outside the music genre, he’s going to see how colossal he is.”

The Murder Inc. executive further waved the Champagne Papi flag with a comparison of epic Rap proportions. “Drizzy for sure is a genius. He’s, dare I say, the Eminem of our generation.” While there might be some truth to that statement we will take this all with a grain of salt. Judging by Irv’s slurred speech at the time of this interview it is safe to say Noreaga and DJ EFN probably got Irv completely washed off Ciroc Vodka thus the reach.

In October Gotti caught some heat when he said Eminem bodied Jay Z on “Renegade” on the same podcast appearance. He took to Instagram to clarify his statements saying “In my opinion. Again. In my opinion. Eminem was iller on RENEGADE. Now. In no way shape or form does that mean I do not LOVE my brother Jay Z.”
