Rush Limbaugh must have forgotten that he is a publicly documented racist and drug addict, and therefore should have thought through his decision to address Ice-T. The war of words came after Ice spoke on gun control in an interview with the UK’s Channel 4.

When asked if the shooting at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater should make the government enforce a stricter gun policy, the rapper-turned-actor defended the right to bear arms. “I’ll give up my gun when everybody else does. Doesn’t that make sense? If there were guns here, would you want to be the only person without one?” he said.

“It’s legal [to have a gun] in the United States. It’s part of our constitution. The right to bear arms is because it’s the last defense against tyranny. It’s not to hunt; it’s to protect yourself from the police.”

Limbaugh took issue with the 54-year-old’s words about the police and had a good chuckle about the whole thing, on his ridiculous radio show. “So here’s this sophisticate from the UK’s Eyeball News Channel 4, and there’s Ice-T saying the only reason we got guns in America is ‘To protect yourself from the police,’” he said. “Well, we’re told, ‘Hey, it’s cultural. We gotta understand it from the cultural standpoint. That’s where Mr. T’s coming from.’”

From there Limbaugh inserted the final nail into the coffin of disrespect. “He knew the word ‘tyranny,’ and he knows that tyranny comes from government representatives.  Double impressive.”

It didn’t take long for Ice to respond, viaTwitter.“Rush Limbaugh said he was impressed I knew the word ‘tyranny’… He’s a racist piece of sh-t.” He also provided a link featuring proof of Limbaugh’s racism, for all those who argued otherwise.

No rebuttal (yet) from Limbaugh, but if the shoe fits…
