George C. Poage


As a member of the University of Wisconsin's class of 1903, Poage is known for being an amazing athlete. One year after graduation he became the first Black person to win an Olympic medal. Poage took home two bronze medals at the 1904 games in St. Louis.

    Why every time a black person accomplish something there is always the term used "first black" the media never used "first white" "first cauc*****ian" first asian. This country always use a negative image for black ppl. They come up.with names like "feeble minded" "unfit" this world is clicked up
