Drake surprised the Internets with a lyrical tirade titled “5am In Toronto” earlier this month, and it looks like the YMCMB golden boy also has a visual on the way for the track. Luckily, someone in the sea of iPhones in the building captured a few photos from the shoot to place on Instagram.
The video was filmed at Beach Blast, an indoor and outdoor beach facility in the rapper’s native Toronto. Like the behind the scenes photos from the “Started From the Bottom” shoot, these also make it difficult to gauge what direction Drake will take viewers on.
Nevertheless, we do see the October’s Very Own MC draped in gold accoutrements and a fresh sweatshirt featuring original Cash Money Millionaires Mannie Fresh, Juvenile, Lil Wayne, and Birdman, that reads “Welcome To the Family.”
At the moment, it’s unclear if “5am In Toronto” will appear on Drake’s upcoming LP Nothing Was The Same, set to release later this year. Considering the amounts of subliminal disses weaved in the lines of of the Boi-1nda produced record, we wonder if brother Aubrey has it in him to go out like 2Pac in “Hit ‘Em Up.” Guess onlookers will have to wait and see if that comes to fruition.
