Los Angeles and Chicago are leading candidates in conversations about the cities churning out the most prominent rap artists and producers. But right behind them (if not right next to them) is Atlanta, and that’s where photographer Cameron “Cam Kirk” Kirkland comes into play.
Whether it’s Gucci Mane’s Trap House III album cover or simply being a fly on the wall at power meetings and studio sessions, the shutterbug is doing his due diligence to ensure that he photo documents the bubbling movements soon to come out of A-town. The likes of Future, Mike WiLL Made It, Metro Boomin, Gucci Mane, Migos, the various Two-9 affiliates, Young Scooter, DJ Don Cannon and recent YMCMB signee Young Thug have landed inside of the crosshairs of his camera lens.
If anything, the photog’s images are a great way to familiarize yourself with ATL rappers who are worth knowing.
If staying ahead of the curve is your thing, get a peep a photo gallery of Cam Kirk’s work in the gallery on the following pages. Stay in tune with constant updates via his website.
