The artist formerly known as T.I. is clearly a sexist. While talking to DJ Whoo Kid, the Atlanta rapper made that clear when it explaining why he wouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton for president of the United States.
You knew Tip was doomed from the moment he started explaining his rationale.
“Not to be sexist but, I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman,” said Tip on Whoolywood Shuffle. “Just because…every other position that exists, I think a woman could do, well. Every other position. But, the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions, emotionally and later they make very permanent, cemented decisions and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure you would hate to just set off a nuke.”
DJ Whoo Kid threw gas on the fire, calling Clinton a “big vagina,” while Tip kept digging a bigger hole.
He add, “You ain’t gon’ be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy, the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to [get] the Loch Ness Monster elected before you could [a woman]…it’s not right, but I don’t think…ya know.”
For the record, sexism is discriminating against someone because of their gender—or, Tip’s attitude throughout his answer. It could be that he sincerely was unaware of his being sexist, but it’s no excuse for it.
We trust Tip and his handlers are crafting a statement to counter the impending fallout—which he already has, via Twitter (see on the flip).
Also, for those of you who will quickly say, “He’s a felon, he can’t vote anyway”—yes, ex-felons can vote.
