Renowned artist/journalist André LeRoy Davis aka A.L. Dre is still plugging away with his The Last Word series of editorial cartoons and caricatures. The latest subject is Drake, who recently put heads on notice that he wants his royalties if you’re using “YOLO” to make a profit.
Drizzy took to Instagram to let Walgreens and Macy’s know that the apparel makers he saw emblazoned with YOLO references, which he contends he popularized via his single “The Motto,” in their stores needed to pay him proper homage, buy cutting a check. In Dre’s illustration, the YMCMB rapper’s smiling mug is seen emblazoned in front of Canadian currency. With the words “YOLO…pay me” in the upper left corner, and in the upper right corner is the legal tenders 1000 Canadian dollars denomination.
What else would you expect from a Young Money Cash Money Billionaire?
Check out Drake, as well as some of other recent The Last Words with subjects that include a Superman and Tupac Shakur mash-up, Mitt Romney as “The Cowardly Lyin'” and the late Chris Lighty, in the gallery.
