French Montana couldn’t be any happier about the release of his debut album, Excuse My French. He even claims not to be consumed by the uncertainty of his first week sales like most artist in his position should be. The Bronx MC is just happy the people get to hear his work, or so he’s said countless times during a press run in his native New York City.
We’ve compiled footage from the “Pop That” rapper’s sit downs with The Combat Jack Show, The Round Up with Shaheem Reid, and The Breakfast Club for your convenience.
Certain topics were consistent throughout each interview. Some of the most notable were whether his LP was purposely released on Max B and The Notorious B.I.G.’s birthdays and why he consistently does songs with a lot of features.
He also discussed why he decided not to sign with G.O.O.D. Music. “On Kanye’s label, I would have just been more like ‘Oh we got a good roster,'” French said to Reid. “I’d rather be Kevin Durant with a team, than be Dwyane Wade with LeBron on another team.”
Separately, French explained that Yeezy is weird like most creative geniuses, and that Ross and Diddy are dudes he can chill with outside of music.
