As millions across the nation will be celebrating the holidays tomorrow, many will unfortunately be without a warm meal and fellowship. In New York, however, TV personality Chef Roblé and production company By Any Means will join forces to feed 1,500 people on Thanksgiving.
TheGrio caught up with By Any Means founder Aristotle Torres, The Hood Chef and Chef Roblé for a brief chat. Torres and The Hood Chef met after a video shoot for Fabolous’ “I’m Raw” video set, hitting it off immediately. Torres, a former orphan who struggled to get on his feet, said he and the Hood Chef saw a need to give back to the less fortunate with a Thanksgiving food drive.
Using two mobile kitchen trucks last year, the By Any Meals food drive fed 800 people. Now in its second year, Chef Roblé will be helping the group with his own unique flair on the traditional feast.
“We can’t give out all the secrets, but it’ll be some twists on some classic thanksgiving foods,” Chef Roblé said. “I’m just happy to use my influence as a platform to give back.”
Check out TheGrio’s interview with Torres, The Hood Chef and Chef Roblé regarding the By Any Meals Thanksgiving food drive after the jump.
