Video Of Donald Trump Cheating At Golf Hits Social Media
But Of Course: Video Of Donald Trump Cheating At Golf Hits Social Media

If we’ve learned anything about Donald Trump over his insufferable lifetime it’s that the man loves to cheat. He cheats on his wives, cheats on his taxes, and cheats at elections, allegedly, so it shouldn’t be surprising to learn that the cheater in chief also plays dirty when it comes to his favorite sport, golf.
Over the weekend, a video of Donald Trump playing golf during his trip to Scotland hit social media and while it seemed like much ado about nothing, eagle eyed viewers noticed that it captured little Donnie’s method for cheating on the green. According to Newsweek, the video shared by anti-Trump X account PatriotTakes shows how Trump’s caddies help him pull off his golfing shenanigans. They walk in front of him and casually drop a golf ball in a spot preferable to where Donnie needs it to be in order to stay a few strokes below of the competition.
That certainly explains how he won five golf tournaments this year alone at his own golf club.
Naturally, this isn’t surprising to anyone who’s kept up with Donald Trump’s way of life over the last decade or so, but his supporters were out there defending the footage, as there’s no way in hell their “dear leader” could do any wrong.
Per Newsweek:
User @mbusster wrote, “So he does not want to play out of the sand, I do it all the time.” Similarly, user @ivanhoecheek wrote: “This was not a professional game for money. It was a recreational game. Also, stuff like this happens if the ball is lost.”
Others meanwhile saw this as more evidence that Trump will always do what he has to in order to avoid being labeled a “loser” as that’s the worst thing imaginable for him. Well, that and being labeled a pedophile.
Sportswriter Rick Reilly told Deadline: White House in 2024 about his experience playing golf with Trump: “I’ve always said golf is like bicycle shorts. It reveals a lot about a guy. And what it reveals about this guy is that he cannot lose. He has to win and he will do anything to cheat.”
Steven Cheung, Trump’s campaign spokesperson at the time, told People: “Rick fantasizes about having a golf game as good as President Trump. But instead of putting in the hard work to improve his s****y game, Rick allows his severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome to completely take over his life. He should seek urgent medical care before it’s too late.”
The way people rush to defend Donald Trump and slander those who share a negative opinion on him will be studied for decades to come.
