Former Roc-A-Fella Records CEO Dame Dash recently launched his online store DDPoppington.com. With some very exorbitant prices for his wears, we are unsure if Dame’s business savvy is beyond our comprehension or he’s turned snake oil salesman.
DDPoppington.com is the online gift shop to his brick and mortar Poppington art gallery. Located in the very artsy Lower East Side section of Manhattan, the gallery is a hub to several independent ventures all presumably backed by Dash.
Included in the portfolio is the newly relaunched CEO brand, Raquel M Horn’s women’s lifestyle brand RHM, a dog line aptly named Pups and Dame Dash’s own DD Poppington men’s line.
With only a couple pieces available for sale, the merchandise is high priced to say the least. A CEO French Terry Fleece sweater is set at $150.00. Things get steeper with RMH as the dresses start at $550.00 and a DD Poppington Four Pocket Military Jacket goes for a whopping $2000.00.
Since vowing to no longer be corporately controlled, Dash has become an advocate for the independent hustle as explained to Details in an recent interview.
You can view the big ticket items from DDPoppington.com on the following pages. Think these pieces are purchase worthy? Let us know in the comments section below.
