Lamar Odom could obviously give any four-letter word that his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian has become French Montana’s new pet tiger. The embattled NBA veteran has just been called up from baller bum purgatory to participate with the New York Knicks for the remainder of the season.
Which, just ended today in a win against the Toronto Raptors. Struggle.
Although it sounds like supreme trolling on the Knickerbockers end, seeing that they were far from playoff contention, Odom will be given a chance to prove himself to be a part of the team next season. Barring he refrains from his alleged crack use.
Reports ESPN:
The Knicks have signed forward Lamar Odom, the team announced on Wednesday.
A league source told ESPN New York that Odom’s contract is guaranteed for the remainder of the season and contains a non-guaranteed option for next season. It will be up to the Knicks to exercise the option.
This gives the team an opportunity to work Odom out and determine his fitness before committing to him for the 2014-15 season.
Odom last stint in the NBA was in 2012-13 with the Los Angeles Clippers.
During the 2013 offseason, Odom also was arrested on a DUI charge and reportedly suffered from substance-abuse issues.
Phil Jackson obviously believes in the guy but as for the Hip-Hop community, the verdict is stay hanging in the balance. Check the gallery for the endless sea of backhanded compliments. NYC, this is your life.
