It’s a thin line between being on MTV and having the bank snatch back your home. Ask any of these 15 stars who faced foreclosure on their cribs.
Tax bills, a tanking global economy, nasty divorces, or just poor money management were part of the recipe that found the folks you’re about to see making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Hit the jump and see who got served with those papers.

The Cash Money co-founder and CEO is known for pulling tens of thousands in cash out of his bags. He’s also been in the news too many times for having a lien on his Miami condo and facing foreclosure. This is why we can’t have nice things.
Dwyane Wade
His name was on the deed, but nobody believed D-Wade actually lived in the $1.2 million Chicago pad that faced foreclosure in 2014. Wade was in Miami with Gabrielle Union, and that’s why Siohvaughn Funches was posted up with a homeless sign trolling us all.
Toni Braxton
Sultry singer Toni Braxton needed someone to unbreak her bank account when the bank resold her $1.1 million Duluth, Georgia property in 2012.
Jermaine Dupri
Some of JD’s financial issues have been well chronicled, and in 2014 he officially lost his $5 million mansion due to non-payment. We’ll always have Da Brat’s “Give It 2 You (Remix)” video to reminisce on what an exquisite crib it was.
Damon Dash
Tax liens, lawsuits, and failed investments left Dame on the wrong end of a foreclosure when he lost his TriBeca duplex in an auction.
JaMarcus Russell
It’s a long fall to go from a $60 million Oakland Raiders quarterback to narrowly avoiding foreclosure by selling a $2.4 million mansion for 50 cents on the dollar. But a crib sold for a loss is a crib saved, right?
Allen Iverson
Georgia’s attractive real estate prices weren’t enough to save A.I.’s $2.8 million Atlanta mansion in 2013. Either the bank or another buyer got to enjoy the six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and a pool.
Jenna Jameson
Former adult actress Jenna Jameson avoided foreclosure by selling her $2.7 million property for half of its value in 2013. Given what she used to do for a living, hopefully the new buyer washed the crib thoroughly and turned on a black light.
DMX
In October of 2014, DMX coughed up $250,000 to keep Tashera Simmon’s house from foreclosure. The catch here is that while Tashera and the kids stayed in the crib, the place was in X’s name.
Joe Francis
Seven months after declaring bankruptcy, Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis woke up and found his bank initiating foreclosure procedures on his Bel Air compound. Life comes at you fast.
Terrell Owens
In 2012, Terrell Owens faced losing three of his cribs. Flipping attractive properties looks great on paper until the housing market craters and you have to sell one of them for a major loss.
Octomom
The almighty EBT card, some softcore, and other measures couldn’t stop Nadya Suleman’s crib from hitting the market in 2012. After failing to fetch an auction, the La Habra crib she raised those eight babies in was officially returned to the bank.
Emmanuel Lewis
In January of 2012, they sold former Webster actor Emmanuel Lewis’ Atlanta crib for a paltry $56,000 after he reportedly failed to pay three years worth of sate, county, and school taxes.
Jose Canseco
The ‘roided up former slugger was likely a casualty of the 2008 financial crisis, as he walked away from his $2.5 million, 7,300-square foot home in suburban Encino, California.
Dustin Diamond
Somebody pumped the breaks on Screech’s money, and he got caught up in a ponzi scheme. Things got super real when he tried selling t-shirts to raise the $250,000 needed to keep his two-story Ozaukee County house from going back to the bank.
