For the last few years, Kevin Hart’s been seen as the hardest working man in show business. Wile he’s been enjoying life-changing success, recently he’s been going through drama thanks to old tweets and social media posts.
Today (Jan. 14), the actor and comedian swung through The Breakfast Club where he addressed the “scandals” that have been following him for the past few weeks and why it doesn’t really phase him.
Sitting down with your favorite morning trio, Kevin Hart explains why he doesn’t talk about why he doesn’t talk about his decision to not host The Oscars, the reason behind his decision to make serious movies, and his reaction to Surviving R. Kelly.

1. Spreading Love
Kevin Hart gifted his entire team old school new cars after they finished up the tour. He picked their brains for months as to which kind of cars they were into so he knew which whip to bless his mans and em with. If only we all had a Kevin Hart on our team.

2. Oscars
Kevin Hart doesn’t want to talk about the Oscars situation because he feel whatever he says will just make things worse. He says random people in the street scream at him to host the Oscars though.
3. Drama
Kevin chose to go the drama route with his latest film because he wanted to “have a full resume when it’s all said and done.” Makes sense for anyone who wants to be taken seriously as an actor and not just as a comedian.
4. R. Kelly
After watching the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries, Kev says he “talked to my daughter immediately after first, and I made sure she understood that I’m not just her father, I’m her friend. And I said ‘It’s very important for you to feel comfortable talking to me about anything.’ I said ‘Some of the most uncomfortable things that you may not wanna tell anybody you can always tell me.’” Like most of us Hart feels that “the scariest thing is your child going through that” and admits that were he to find out his child was a victim under those circumstances that he’s “not capable of finding anything like that out and going through the system and getting it correct. There’s no shot… I’m telling you now, it’s over.”
5. The Controversial Party
As for that cowboys and Indians party that got social media in an uproar, Kevin says he didn’t even know about it till he got home and it was happening. “The crazy thing is it’s a party planner that put it together for my wife.” He does say that he gets why people would think it was offensive, but insists there wasn’t any malicious intent behind it and told his wife to never do another theme party again.
6. No Cell Phones Allowed
By now we all know that cell phone use is prohibited at comedy shows and using one can get you booted quick fast, but Kevin Hart does apologize to the diabetic woman who got kicked out his show for pulling out her phone to check her sugar level. He does say that she could’ve gotten up and gone to the bathroom to do so if anything.
7. Tiffany Haddish
Kev says that he called Tiffany Haddish after she bombed at her NYE show and “jumped in her ass a little bit. Told her this isn’t anybody else’s fault. This is you. It’s your job right now to be prepared.” Sometimes tough love is what someone needs to better themselves.
8. What Beef?
As for his beefs with other comedians, Kevin says he and Michael Blackson are cool again but hasn’t talked to anyone else he was going back and forth with like Mike Epps.
9. Don Lemon
Kevin says he called Don Lemon because he didn’t like what Don said about him. “We ended up getting off the phone with a mutual understanding of one another and each others sides and it was respect.”
