Last night’s 20th anniversary Summer Jam was a success, even with Papoose’s successful attempt of Bogarting his way onto the stage. The line up of both old school and mostly new school acts made for a nice party atmosphere with stand out sets from Wu-Tang Clan, 2 Chainz and French Montana.
Joe Budden opened the show, followed in order by Miguel, Wale, Chris Brown, Fabolous, Wu-Tang Clan, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar and French Montana. Oh yeah, Pap hit the stage shortly after Kendrick’s set, much to just about everyone in the crowd’s surprise and befuddlement.
The special guests were frequent, from Miguel bringing out J. Cole and Mariah Carey to Fabolous introducing Lil Kim on down to A$AP Rocky bringing out Bone Thugs & Harmony, who he cites as one of his big influences.
Check out videos of all the performances in the following pages.
