Pharrell is officially the maestro of the show. Following a GRAMMY win and a performance at NBA All-Star Weekend, the Neptune is slated to rock the stage at the Academy Awards, but before then, he’ll drop his sophomore LP, G I R L.
Yes, you read that right. Mum has been the word on Skateboard P’s follow-up to his cult favorite debut, In My Mind, until now. Ten tracks in total will make up the release, as “Happy” is currently the number two song in the country. There’s no word what direction Pharrell took in making this project, but it’s already been publicized that this will not be a rap album.
The Virginia native released the official artwork, which dons an image of him in a bathrobe and sunglasses alongside three women sporting an identical look. A dope 30-second trailer also accompanies the announcement.
Pharrell’s G I R L releases via Columbia Records on March 3. Peep the visual below and the cover on the following page.
