Fans anticipating the latest film in the X-Men franchise have just two weeks to wait. In order to drum up the hype for the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past film, 23 pieces of character art related to the flick have been revealed.
The images will look familiar to some fans, as they look to be the same works that appeared earlier this year on select covers of British film magazine, Empire. These images, however, all feature different backdrops and show off some new characters in the franchise.
The young and old versions of Professor X, played by James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart respectively, are featured in the art. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is featured in a pair of shots. Halle Berry features in a piece as Storm, and Magneto’s younger and older selves are depicted by Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen. Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and Peter Dinklage help round out the ensemble cast.
According to ComingSoon.net, these images were not meant to be film posters and instead were used in various ways to promote the film internationally. The plot for X-Men: Days Of Future Past centers on the present versions of the X-Men team who go back in time to correct events that could save the future.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past will hit theaters on May 23.
