Morgan Freeman’s plane had to make an emergency crash landing in Mississippi over the weekend, and he walked away without injury. Now everyone is convinced he’s immortal.
Reports TMZ:
We’re told Morgan was the only passenger on the plane when it experienced significant hydraulic problems shortly after takeoff. The pilot radioed a mayday and was cleared to land in Tunica, Mississippi — 36 miles from where the plane took off.
It’s unclear if the pilot touched down too late, the runway was just too small to accommodate the jet or the hydraulic problem compromised the braking system, but the jet didn’t stop at the end of the runway and ended up in a dirt field.
We’re told no one was hurt.
The immortality theory is feasible if you’ve noticed that Freeman maybe came to earth as a senior citizen — versus a baby (like the rest of us).
After the plane trouble, he released the following statement: “Sometimes things don’t go as planned and a tire blew on take-off which caused other problems. But thanks to my excellent pilot Jimmy Hobson we landed safely without a scratch. I cannot say the same about my plane.”
To be fair, there was a time when the acclaimed actor was actually younger. His role in Lean on Me is an example. The hair was black in those days, although his face pretty much looked the same….maybe he really is immortal? Or at least a wizard or a robot alien of some sort? Stranger things have happened in Hollywood.
