From music to fashion and places in between, the A$AP Mob are moving and shaking to make their presence felt in global culture. The rapping leg of the crew are the most notable, but recent events suggest that they should make way for Bronx native A$AP Illz, who recently walked in DKNY’s New York Fashion Week show.
Illz, 24, connected with photographer Sir Fawn and GQ to show what it takes to go from “hood to high fashion” in an editorial. The New Yorker says it’s always been his dream to walk the runway. “My homie J. Scott, the in-house DJ for A$AP, texted me saying that DKNY was looking for me and A$AP Nast. I ended up going through with it,” Illz explained.
