Big Baller Brand has some big ballers supporting their vision. The Game, Slim Thug and Nipsey Hussle have lent their support by buying the $495 Lonzo Ball ZO2 sneakers.

Each of the proudly independent rappers took to social media to show support and receipts for the controversial shoe.

The Game posted a screenshot of his purchase and posted in on Instagram with a lengthy post pointing out the hypocrisy of himself and other “ballers” who are quick to clown BBB but will buy even more expensive shoes who don’t even need or want their support. He also called out Michael Jordan for capitalizing off of the Black community but never giving back.

The Game said:

Just bought my son @hvrlemtaylor & a few of his friends the “Lonzo @zo Ball’s” #Z02 kicks just on the pure fact that I’ve spent over a million dollars, sh*t probably more on Nike’s, Jordan’s & other big name sneaker brands in my lifetime so why not support a family brand & a rising stars shoe….. Funny how n*ggas will go & buy Gucci flip flops for $300-400 with no complaints but then complain & *itch when a kid & his family is making a name for themselves & trying to grow their own brand….. I also think about all these $500 duplicate Jordans n*ggas out here going broke & dying over just trying to keep up with Jones’s…. While MJ, as much as I love & support him & his legacy ain’t really ever did much for the black community other then tax our mothafuckin’ ass for the same shoes over & over as well as charge these kids parents hella money to get in these camps. & again, no hate… MJ is MJ but today I chose to support @Zo & his family…. f*ck how anybody feel about it… keep making memes if that’s all yo broke hatin ass can do….. maybe sometimes, people need to delete the meme app off they phone & start creating their own legacy instead of picking apart someone else’s….. I will also be buying 10 more pair of @Zo’s kicks for 10 kids who’s parents can’t afford them….. on behalf of myself & @therobinhoodproject #DatWay#TheRobinHoodProject #BigBallerBrand#itAintTrickinIfYouGotIt

Fellow Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle has also shown support for BBB by spreading awareness on social media saying that he was “proud to pay” the high price for the symbolic sneaker.

BBB co-founder LaVar Ball has been making headlines all year for his bold statements about his three sons and their business goal of building a brand and seeking partnership with major shoe companies instead of endorsements. BBB made an even bigger media splash when they revealed the $495 price for the ZO2 sneaker that project NBA lottery pick Lonzo Ball is expected to wear next season.

While many have clowned the Balls for the price point, a few have stepped up support. Former athletes Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Marcellus Wiley have also publically supported BBB by purchasing the shoes.

LaVar Ball has suggested that sales for the shoe are going well and that they have moved at least 495 pairs since they went on sale. NiceKicks.com has reported that BBB sold around 200 pairs on the first day, generating more $150,000 in revenue.
