Statik Selektah

On paper, a Sean Price and Mac Miller collaboration is a brow raising disaster in the making. Accomplished producer Statik Selektah somehow proved those assumptions wrong when he released “21 & Over” a few weeks ago. Now that the track has gained some notoriety, the beatsmith returns today with a quick visual for the cut.

After a recent string of new visuals and tracks, it’s safe to say that AZ is back. With that, we receive another quality treatment for his Doe Or Die II track “We Movin.”

Good tunes are an essential aspected to any summer. While some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop focus their efforts on creating the anthem of the season, fans rely on other artists like young gunner Joey Bada$$ to provide a smooth alternative like “Word Is Bond.”

It took a while, but AZ is finally gearing up to release his long-awaited album Doe Or Die II – the follow up to his 1995 classic. With that, the Brooklyn MC unveils the first single called “We Movin.”

Mac Miller and Sean Price collaborate on a hard hitting track called “21 & Over.” Yes, you read that right. Thank DJ/producer Statik Selektah for pairing the otherwise highly unlikely duo on a song set to appear on his  forthcoming Extended Play LP.

Every so often, Hip-Hop fans receive a track so powerful that it creates a feeling similar to that of the holy ghost. Applaud Statik Selektah, for he delivers one with a song titled “Bird’s Eye View,” featuring Raekwon, Joey Bada$$, and Black Thought.

We receive a sampling from crooner Jared Evan and Statik Selektah’s collaborative project, Boom Bap & Blues, with “Black & White.” The oh so soulful track samples vocals from Eminem’s “Yellow Brick Road,” and features Brooklyn lyricist Joey Bada$$, who spit a powerful verse detailing his failed efforts to capture a certain female’s attention.

The New York Hip-Hop community is still reeling from the loss of one of its rising young stars, Capital Steez of Pro Era.
