Don Cornelius Dead, Committed Suicide
Don Cornelius, the founder of Soul Train, has died of an apparent suicide, reports TMZ.
Police discovered Cornelius in his Sherman Oaks, CA home last night around 4 a.m. Apparently, he was dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Ironically, in 2009, TMZ revealed that Cornelius including the following passage in his divorce papers: “I am 72 years old. I have significant health issues. I want to finalize this divorce before I die.”
Cornelius was 75 years-old.
