Although Roc Nation artist J. Cole featured crooner Miguel on his new “Power Trip” single, the North Carolina native flexed his vocal chords a bit for the track as well. Cole speaks on his new love of singing, and talks up competing with “white people” at the Grammy Awards in a recent radio interview.

Miguel is currently traveling the country with Alicia Keys on the Set The World On Fire tour, which reached its  Brooklyn stop last night. Attendees at the Barclays Center were in for a treat, as the singer brought out J. Cole to perform “Power Trip” live for the very first time.

Fresh off a speaking engagement at the prestigious Harvard University, J. Cole spoke with Jenny Boom Boom about the process of his upcoming album, Born Sinner. 

J. Cole promised a brand new single after he dropped his five song-EP, Truly Yours. Today, he follows up on his promise on “Power Trip,” featuring Miguel. 

Well, this was unexpected. While most of the east coast was fast asleep, J.Cole dropped a brand new five track mixtape/free EP called Truly Yours.
